Asia’s highly established REITs and real estate securitization event, REITs Asia Pacific™ 2023 is back again for the 8th Edition REITS Asia Pacific 2023 on the 16th March 2023
Carlton Hotel, Singapore, 16th of March – The 8th Edition REITS Asia Pacific 2023, which ended on a good note yesterday with more than 70 important REITS attendees attending the event.
Organised at Carlton Hotel, Singapore, the conference kickstarted in the line of the conference theme: “Building Resilience, Embracing Sustainability?. Governments in Asia are driving demand for technology parks to spur economic growth, with India positioning new parks as production hubs for domestic and international markets, and China seeking technological self-reliance. Investors are also becoming more aware of ESG factors and their impact on REIT valuations. Sustainable REITs are able to better manage energy usage and emissions, leading to better tenant retention and higher occupancy rates. The demand for sustainable buildings in Asia Pacific exceeds supply, allowing landlords to charge a premium above prevailing rents.
Among the notable speakers, Mr Hasira De Silva, Senior Director in Fitch Ratings, gave a perceptual sharing during his speaking topic on “Will Asian Logistics/Industrial REITS to continue to outperform in 2023, where he shared on how we are breaking out of the Covid-19 pandemic and how impactful it is to the industrial and logistics space. He also shared the rising interest rates and inflation status that effects REITS.
In view of coming out of Covid-19, Ms Wong Ee Kean, CEO of GSUM-Titanland Capital, moderated a panel discussion with powerful questions like understanding the outlook of datacentre REITS in 2023 and which REITS investors should be watching out for.
The event ended with the awards segment, graced by the guest of honour, Professor Ong Seow Eng, Professor at Department of Real Estate, School of Business, National University of Singapore. He commented: “The REITS industry will prevail against and overcomes the current ratings as long as the REITS have the best interest of 2023. The 3 key points in REITS are: 1. REITS is a trust. 2. REITS managers is key. 3. REITS are capital market instruments.

The 8th Edition REITS Asia Pacific™ And The Best of The Breeds REITS Awards™ 2023 held on 16th March 2023 At Carlton Hotel, Singapore
REITs Asia Pacific™ 2023 is returning for its 8th edition, continuing to play a significant role in attracting investor interest in the Singapore REIT market. The event will host the Asia Pacific “Best of the Breeds REITS Awards? 2023™, recognizing the most outstanding players in the region’s REIT industry.
Despite concerns over rising inflation and interest rates, the Asian REIT market still offers promising opportunities for investors.
